Lakkam Kudi

visit the tribal village situated few kms from green park cottage. you can either trek or an offroader will take you here. You will wonder seeing the people and their lifestyle. If you are lucky you can grab oranges and some rare fruits on the way.

Mannavan Shola

This is the largest shola forest in the peninsular India. The giant tree ferns found in the forest are unique and believed to have existed from the time of dinosaurs. Not all vehicles can travel here. An off roader will take you here. A round trip for about 70 kms will also take you to Kundala and Maatupetti dam which are one of the frequently visited tourist attractions.

Aanaimudi Peak

The highest peak (2,695 m) south of the Himalayas, towers over the sanctuary in majestic pride. The slopes of the hills abound in all kinds of rare flora and fauna. The Atlas moth, the largest of its kind in the world, is a unique inhabitant of the park. Other rare species of fauna found here are the Nilgiri Langur, the lion-tailed macaque, leopards, tigers. an offroader will take you here crossing some private estates.

Deep with in the Chinnar Wildlife sanctuary lies the spectacular Thoovanam water falls. The enormous waterfall on the Chinnar River, with its breathtaking silvery cascade is a major tourist attraction. As a part of wildlife tourism, the Wildlife Department allows tourists to visit the falls. Guided trekking from Karimutti Forest Station can be arranged to Thoovanam waterfalls. Trekking through the pristine scrub forest offers advantage of watching wild animals and rare flora from the path when venture deep into the forest.
